Ingredients

  • 200 g glutinous rice — rinsed, soaked overnight
  • 250 ml coconut milk
  • 1 L water
  • 350 g ripe mango
  • 50 ml agave syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • black sesame seeds — for garnishing

Place the glutinous rice, which has been soaked in cold water overnight, into the Varoma basket and tray, leaving some holes unobstructed for steam to circulate.

Place water in the mixing bowl. Set the Varoma into position and steam for 40 min/Varoma/speed 1. Remove the Varoma, transfer the rice to serving bowls, and set aside. Discard the water from the bowl.

Place coconut milk, agave syrup and salt in mixing bowl then heat 5 min/80°C/speed 1. Pour over steamed glutinous rice and top with mango. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
