Spoon donuts are made by using a spoon to shape the dough into doughnuts and frying them in oil. They are fluffy and soft on the inside, with a crispy outer crust. This type of doughnut is quick and easy to prepare, making it a popular choice for breakfast or sweet snacks.

Ingredients

  • 300 ml milk
  • 12 g fresh yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 20 g soft butter
  • 530 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 ml vanilla essence
  • 2 ml lemon essence
  • sunflower oil — for frying

  1. Place the milk in a bowl and set it to heat for 2 minutes at 37°C, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the crumbled yeast and mix for 20 seconds until combined.
  3. Add the flour, soft butter, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla essence, and lemon essence. Mix for 4 minutes until the dough is smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl with a lid and let the dough rise for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Heat the sunflower oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat.
  6. Using a spoon, take portions of the dough, shape them into doughnuts, and carefully place them in the hot oil.
  7. Fry the doughnuts on both sides until they are golden and puffed up.
  8. Remove the doughnuts and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  9. Serve the doughnuts with melted chocolate or jam, if desired.
