Ingredients

  • 400 g chickpeas — you can use canned chickpeas, drained, or dried chickpeas soaked for 6–8 hours in hot water
  • 60 g sesame seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • salt — to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika — for garnish
  • black sesame seeds — for garnish

In a pan, toast the sesame seeds for 2–3 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly, until they turn lightly golden.

Place the garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 7.

Add the chickpeas, sesame seeds, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt, then mix for 1 min./speed 4.

Place the hummus in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sweet paprika, and serve with toasted bread or crackers.
