Ingredients

  • 200 g cheese — Gouda, Edam or Gruyere
  • 200 g butter
  • 250 g flour
  • half a teaspoon of salt
  • black and white sesame seeds — for sprinkling on top

  1. Mix the cheese with the softened butter, flour, and salt until well combined.
  2. Transfer the dough onto a piece of plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  4. Form small balls from the chilled dough and place them on the prepared tray. Gently press each ball with a fork.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow the biscuits to cool. Store them in an airtight container.
