Bringing Families Together, One Delicious Recipe at a Time

Tiramisu

Servings: 8 Total Time: 8 hrs 25 mins Difficulty: Beginner

Tiramisu is the epitome of Italian elegance, blending creamy mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa for a dessert that’s both indulgent and sophisticated. Easy to prepare, this no-bake dessert is ideal for celebrations or a special treat.

Classic Flavor: The combination of bitter coffee and sweet mascarpone creates a balanced and luxurious taste.

🍫 Family-Friendly Twist: For children, replace the coffee with a mixture of cocoa and milk for a kid-friendly version that retains the creamy charm of tiramisu.

💡 Tips: Chill the tiramisu for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld beautifully. Garnish with grated chocolate or fresh berries for an extra touch of elegance.

Instructions

  1. Preparation method
    1. In a large bowl, add the egg yolks and sugar. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture for about 6 minutes, until it becomes fluffy and doubles in volume.
    2. Reduce the mixer speed to medium. While mixing, gradually add the mascarpone, one spoonful at a time, until fully incorporated and the cream becomes smooth. If needed, use a spatula to fold in any remaining mascarpone, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
    3. Briefly dip the ladyfingers into very cold coffee, ensuring they absorb just a little liquid without breaking. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers on the bottom of a tray or decorative serving plate. For decoration, I used a piping bag with a decorative tip to spread the cream on top. It’s a simple method that makes the dessert look more appealing.Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Cover with the remaining coffee-soaked ladyfingers, then add the rest of the mascarpone mixture on top.
    4. Cover everything with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
    5. When ready to serve, dust the surface with cocoa powder.
