Put the walnuts in the mixing bowl, chop for 2-3 sec./speed 5, and transfer to another bowl.
Put the chocolate in the mixing bowl, chop for 7 sec./speed 8, then scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.
Add the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar, then melt for 6 min./50°C/speed 2. Remove the lid of the mixing bowl and let the mixture cool to 37°C (approximately 10 minutes). Meanwhile, line the base of a rectangular baking tin (36 x 24 cm) with baking paper and grease the edges.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Add the eggs, salt, flour, and baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 4.
Add the chopped walnuts and fold them in for 6 sec./reverse/speed 3. Pour ⅔ of the batter into the prepared baking tin, and transfer the remaining batter to a separate bowl. Clean the mixing bowl.

Bake the cake for approximately 40 minutes at 180°C. Remove from the oven, let it cool completely in the tin, then remove it from the tin, cut into pieces, and serve.
